Punta Marina: 65-year-old man dies after suspected medical emergency in water

A 65-year-old man, identified as Roberto Rondoni, died in Punta Marina, Ravenna, following a suspected medical emergency while swimming. The incident occurred around 11:30 AM on a Saturday in August during a period of rough seas and high temperatures.

Lifeguards observed the man swimming toward the open sea without apparent difficulty, but later discovered him face down in the water. Despite rescue efforts by lifeguards and 118 emergency personnel, including over an hour of resuscitation attempts, Rondoni was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital in Ravenna.
