Punta Secca woman reports being followed by stranger on beach

A woman reported being followed by a stranger while walking alone on a beach between Punta Secca and Anticaglie early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 7:00 AM, causing significant distress to the pedestrian. The pursuit ended only when the woman reached a group of people who had noticed the situation and stopped to ensure her safety.

Following the encounter, the individual reportedly fled to a nearby reed bed where two other men were waiting. Luca Agnello, president of the Santa Croce Camerina City Council, reported the incident to the Carabinieri and Municipal Police. Agnello advised citizens to remain cautious and report suspicious behavior, noting that beaches are less crowded during the early morning and evening hours as summer ends.
