Punta Umbría inaugurates new multifunctional municipal center

The Punta Umbría City Council has inaugurated a new Multifunctional Municipal Center located in the former Gaviota school facilities. The center will host the Municipal Center for Attention to Functional Diversity and serve as the headquarters for the association Rumbo Fijo.

The new building features expanded, accessible facilities, including a sports track, outdoor areas, and a kitchen designed to promote personal autonomy through daily activities. Mayor José Carlos Hernández Cansino stated the project was developed in response to feedback from users and their families to promote daily inclusion.

Currently, approximately twenty users participate in daily training and care activities at the center. The relocation is also expected to save the municipality 10,164 euros annually in rent and maintenance costs.
