Puntagorda PP denounces neglect of municipal secondary roads

The People's Party (PP) of Puntagorda has denounced the state of neglect regarding numerous secondary roads within the municipality. Spokesperson Alfonso Ballesteros has called on the local government to implement effective planning for maintenance, paving, and road safety improvements.

While acknowledging improvements to some main roads, the PP noted that the secondary network suffers from lifted pavement, landslides, and deterioration worsened by recent rains. Specific concerns were raised regarding the access road to the local school and the road leading to the Port of Puntagorda, a significant tourist area.

Additionally, the party warned that a lack of proper drainage and gutters is causing rainwater to runoff into private properties, resulting in damages. Ballesteros questioned the local government's priorities, suggesting that urgent infrastructure needs should be addressed alongside cultural and festive programming.
