Punto Norte tourism company investigated for alleged K-Pop trip scam

Authorities in Argentina have launched a criminal investigation into the tourism company Punto Norte following allegations of a scam involving approximately 100 adolescents. The victims had reportedly paid for travel packages, including transportation and tickets, to attend BTS concerts in La Plata.

Estimates suggest the financial loss could reach 60 million pesos, with individual packages valued at approximately 600,000 pesos. Following the complaints, judicial authorities conducted a raid on Punto Norte’s offices in Catamarca, seizing documentation and computer equipment for analysis.

Punto Norte issued a statement claiming the company is also a victim of a “million-dollar scam” perpetrated by an intermediary named Enzo Ariel Vivas, who was responsible for managing ticket sales and provision. The company stated it has maintained a commercial relationship with Vivas for two years without prior issues and has initiated legal action against him. Punto Norte has committed to refunding the full amounts paid by the affected passengers, though no specific dates for the reimbursements have been confirmed.
