Pupuk Indonesia explores strategic fertilizer production partnership in Russia

Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is exploring a strategic partnership to develop the Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant Phase 2 (NFP-2) in Russia. The project aims to expand global production capacity for ammonia and urea using natural gas as a raw material.

Rahmad Pribadi, CEO of Pupuk Indonesia, stated that the initiative is a long-term strategy to secure raw material access and strengthen the national fertilizer supply chain through competitive cost structures.

Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and CEO of Danantara, noted that this exploration follows meetings between President Prabowo Subianto and President Vladimir Putin. He highlighted that Pupuk Indonesia possesses significant potential for investment in Vladivostok and within the Russian market.
