Purdue and Washington prepare for key matchup in West Lafayette

The Purdue Boilermakers and Washington Huskies are set to face off in a matchup that could significantly impact both programs' seasons. Purdue enters the game following two consecutive wins against Illinois and Minnesota, driven largely by the performance of running back Fame Ijeboi. Ijeboi, a transfer from Minnesota, has recorded 260 rushing yards over the last two weeks.

Purdue's defense has been effective in conference play, though it ranks 104th nationally in defensive SP+. Washington's defense is looking to recover from recent struggles with missed tackles and assignments, particularly in run defense, following a performance against Iowa.

On the offensive side, Washington's passing game has seen recent activity with Elijah Brown stepping in for the injured Demond Williams. The game's outcome may depend on whether Washington's offense can maintain its recent timing and whether Purdue's defense can contain the Huskies' rushing attack.
