Purdue football adds new recruit offers and former star joins Big Ten Network

Purdue University’s football program has extended several offers to high‑school prospects for the 2024 recruiting class. Cornerback Ayden Dunlap from Ohio received a scholarship and scheduled a campus visit for the Notre Dame game on September 26. Running back Julian Taylor of Detroit Cass Tech also committed verbally after speaking with coaches, and defensive lineman Blake Pohlman from Lombard, Illinois, accepted his first Big Ten offer.

In a separate development, former Purdue defensive end and NFL veteran Ryan Kerrigan will join the Big Ten Network as a college‑football analyst for the 2026 season. Kerrigan, a two‑time All‑Big Ten selection and 2010 Defensive Player of the Year, joins analysts Kenjon Barner and Brett Hundley as the network prepares to broadcast 43 games.

Both moves highlight Purdue’s focus on strengthening its on‑field talent pipeline and expanding its presence in college‑football media coverage.
