PureHealth expands into UK via Unilabs laboratory acquisition

PureHealth, the Middle East’s largest healthcare group, is expanding its international presence into the United Kingdom by acquiring the UK laboratory operations of Unilabs Limited. The acquisition will be executed through PureHealth subsidiary Circle Health Group.

Under the agreement, Circle Health Group will take over selected laboratory operations, including two major hub laboratories located in Euston and Cavendish Square, London. These hubs will be supported by a network of licensed laboratories across the UK, providing services such as pathology, histopathology, blood sciences, microbiology, and specialist diagnostics. The move aims to serve an existing base of more than 90 external healthcare clients.

The expansion integrates the expertise of PureLab, the UAE’s largest laboratory operator, into the UK market. PureLab intends to utilize its experience in advanced automation and AI-enabled diagnostics to strengthen Circle Health Group’s network of more than 50 hospitals. Shaista Asif, Group CEO of PureHealth, stated that the expansion aims to create an integrated model that connects expertise across the group’s international portfolio to improve the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment.
