Purina Partners with Senior Dog Veterinary Society on Nutrition for Aging Dogs

Purina has formed an educational partnership with the Senior Dog Veterinary Society to support veterinary professionals in caring for senior dogs. The collaboration will provide resources on nutrition and age‑related health changes, addressing the lack of specific AAFCO standards for older canines. As part of the program, members will receive access to webinars, including the first session titled “Feeding the Healthy Senior Dog: Nutrition Strategies for Proactive Aging,” scheduled for August 6 and presented by veterinary nutritionist Dr. Martha Cline.

The partnership aims to help vets identify early signs of muscle loss, mobility issues, cognitive decline, and digestive problems in senior dogs, and to apply individualized nutritional strategies to improve health outcomes.
