Purple Pilgrims announce third studio album ‘Given To The Night’

New Zealand dream-pop duo Purple Pilgrims, consisting of sisters Clementine and Valentine Nixon, have announced their third studio album, ‘Given To The Night’. The record is scheduled for release on November 27 via Flying Nun Records in New Zealand and AD 93 in other regions.

To create the album, the duo underwent a period of personal transition and a deliberate retreat from social media and the outside world. The songwriting process was instinctive, with tracks recorded as they emerged rather than following a predetermined narrative. The music features shimmering guitars, synthesizers, and layered vocals, exploring themes of isolation, connection, grief, and recovery.

Alongside the album announcement, the duo has released the first single, ‘Innocence Lost’. The track is described as an atmospheric, slow-burning song that explores heartbreak and the search for hope within sorrow.
