Pursaklar Municipality Begins Harvest of Wheat, Lentils and Chickpeas

The Pursaklar municipal council has started harvesting wheat, lentils and chickpeas grown on city‑owned agricultural lands. Mayor Ertuğrul Çetin noted that the area under cultivation has been expanding each year and that the harvested crops will be processed in the municipal kitchen to prepare meals for residents in need.

In addition to the harvest, the municipality continues to promote local food production by distributing free vegetable seedlings grown from heritage seeds to citizens. Officials said the program aims to sustain agricultural activity on formerly idle municipal plots and to support community nutrition and solidarity.
