Putignano hosts final Calici di Libri literary event

The “Calici di Libri – Chiacchiere letterarie al calice” cultural series, organized by APS Onde Culturali, will hold its second and final event on September 4, 2026, at Cantine Colavecchio in Putignano. The event aims to combine literature with local enology, offering readers and wine enthusiasts the chance to engage with authors in a winery setting.

The evening features two primary literary discussions. At 19:00, Mariana Buttiglione will host Giorgia Lepore, author of the Giorgio Scerbanenco Prize-winning novel “Forse è così che si diventa uomini”. Their conversation will focus on the character Inspector Gerri and themes of personal growth and the past.

At 20:00, Cosimo Damiano Damato, author of “Nessuna Grazia. Gramsci e Pertini, una storia di prigionia e resistenza,” will participate in a dialogue with Nicoletta Siliberti, Director of the Turi Prison. The session, which includes readings by actress Ivana Pantaleo, will explore themes of freedom, human dignity, and civil commitment through the historical experiences of Antonio Gramsci and Sandro Pertini.
