Putin and Zelensky address European protests and energy security
Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed allegations from Western media that Moscow is orchestrating mass protests across European cities. In an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, Putin characterized claims of Russian involvement in these demonstrations as a 'obvious exaggeration' and suggested that European governments are using the narrative of 'hybrid warfare' to deflect from domestic economic and social crises.
Separately, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has outlined three conditions presented to the Trump administration regarding the cessation of Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries. Zelensky stated that Kyiv is willing to consider halting these attacks if certain criteria are met, including a mutual ceasefire on energy infrastructure attacks, the use of Starlink satellite services to locate Russian ballistic missile launchers, or the provision of additional missiles for Patriot air defense systems. He noted that none of these proposals have been implemented, which explains the continued targeting of Russian energy facilities.
