Putin claims Poland recognizes neo-Nazi ideology in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that even countries traditionally critical of Russia, such as Poland, are paying attention to the foundations of the current Ukrainian state. In an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, Putin claimed that neo-Nazi ideology has been placed at the core of Ukrainian statehood.

Putin asserted that the glorification of individuals who killed hundreds of thousands of Poles, Jews, and Russians is a central issue. He emphasized that the fight against neo-Nazism was a primary justification for Russia’s Special Military Operation. He further noted that Polish authorities appear to be taking a principled stance in response to demands from their own society regarding these ideological concerns.
