Puyehue, Chile launches week-long free Puihua Cultural 2026 festival

The municipality of Puyehue in southern Chile will host the twelfth edition of the Puihua Cultural 2026 festival from Saturday 4 July through Saturday 11 July. The week‑long program, offered free of charge, includes a winter carnival, the “Gran Cazuelazo” cooking show, a theater performance by the Sol del Ocaso company, a gastronomy night, artisan fairs, a Mapuche‑Huilliche exhibition, family‑focused events and a closing concert featuring local folk groups.

Tourism director Roberto Coronado said the festival is “un evento para romper la estacionalidad con distintas acciones artístico‑culturales enfocados en la comuna y pensado en todos los habitantes y visitantes que lleguen hasta Puyehue.” He added, “A través del Departamento de Turismo y el área de Turismo hemos trabajado en estas actividades pensadas para toda la familia.”
