Puyehue establishes new Chamber of Commerce and Tourism

Approximately 40 entrepreneurs and business owners have established the Puyehue Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (Asociación Gremial de Comercio y Turismo de Puyehue A. G.) to drive local economic development. The organization aims to position the commune as a high-quality national and international tourism destination and serve as a formal representative for the local productive sector.

Led by president Rodrigo Pérez Pinela, the Chamber has already begun meeting with authorities, including Provincial Presidential Delegate Alejandro Rehbein. Key priorities for the group include the modernization of the Cardenal Samoré Pass, accelerating strategic local investments, and addressing public security concerns regarding crime in the area. Pérez Pinela noted that while the region has the necessary elements to become a tourism epicenter in Northern Patagonia, it currently lacks the strategic planning required to achieve that goal.
