PVR INOX juice counter shut in Bengaluru over food safety violations

Food safety officers from the Karnataka Health Department have shut down a juice counter at the PVR INOX outlet in Forum Mall, Konanakunte Cross, Bengaluru. The action follows a complaint alleging that disposable cups were being reused to serve beverages to customers.

The incident gained attention after a video shared on social media appeared to show a customer confronting staff regarding the alleged reuse of cups. Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader confirmed that an inspection was conducted, during which officers found violations of food safety regulations.

A formal notice has been issued to the establishment. Minister Khader emphasized that food safety regulations apply equally to large brands and small vendors, urging all food businesses to prioritize customer health and maintain proper hygiene standards.
