Pwani Regional Commissioner Stanslaus Nyongo pledges to resolve land disputes

Stanslaus Nyongo, the new Regional Commissioner of Pwani, has called for increased cooperation among leaders and officials to resolve land disputes through legal and fair procedures. During a handover ceremony on September 8, 2026, Nyongo emphasized the need to reduce land conflicts to ensure long-term stability.

Nyongo also outlined plans to enhance the investment climate to maintain Pwani's status as a leader in the industrial and investment sectors. His strategy includes economic empowerment for youth and promoting growth in agriculture, livestock, tourism, and the blue economy.

The handover ceremony marked the transition from the former Regional Commissioner, Abubakar Mussa Kunenge, who has been reassigned to lead the Songwe Region. Kunenge expressed gratitude to the citizens and officials of Pwani for their cooperation since 2021.
