PwC confirms cybersecurity incident involving third-party vendor

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has confirmed a cybersecurity incident involving a third-party vendor responsible for hosting employee learning records. The incident follows claims by a cyber-extortion group known as Everest, which alleges the theft of approximately 590 gigabytes of company data.

PwC stated that the affected website did not contain client data, sensitive personal information, or financial information. The firm also noted that its own network and business operations were not impacted and that it has taken steps to secure the environment and conduct a thorough review.
