Pyeongtaek hosts community arts festival and disability walking event

Pyeongtaek City recently hosted two major community events aimed at fostering social cohesion and cultural engagement.

The 20th Pyeongtaek Arts Festival took place at Hambaksan Jungang Park, featuring a large-scale collaborative performance by 510 members from approximately 10 local choirs. The festival included diverse performances such as traditional Korean music, dance, and orchestral music, with participation from youth, university students, and U.S. military personnel. Additional activities included art competitions, writing contests, and various hands-on cultural experiences.

Separately, the 2026 Pyeongtaek Disability Walking Event was held at the Sosabeol Leports Town. Approximately 700 participants, including individuals with disabilities and non-disabled citizens, took part in the event to promote physical activity and mutual understanding. The program featured accessible trekking courses tailored to different physical needs, alongside sports experiences like Hanggung and disc golf.
