Pyramids defeated 1-0 by Persepolis in Turkey friendly

Egyptian club Pyramids SC lost 1–0 to Iran's Persepolis FC in a pre‑season friendly held in Ardurum, Turkey. The match was the first of four scheduled friendlies during Pyramids' training camp, which runs from 23 July to 9 August.

The only goal came five minutes before full‑time when Persepolis scored from a corner kick. Both coaches used the game to rotate squads: Pyramids' head coach Rolani Mokoina started goalkeeper Ahmed Shennawy and a line‑up of regular starters, then introduced several substitutes in the second half, while Persepolis fielded a strong side reflecting its record 16‑time Iranian league champion status.

The fixture served as a physical and tactical assessment ahead of the new domestic season for both clubs.
