Launaguet investigation launched after fatal fire and two deaths

Authorities in Launaguet, north of Toulouse, have launched an investigation following a fatal house fire and the discovery of two bodies. A 40-year-old woman was found partially burned in a garage during the early hours of Tuesday.

Investigators discovered a 54-year-old man nearby with a serious head injury and a handgun. The man later died from his wounds. The Toulouse prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into potential homicide, noting that the woman had previously filed a complaint against her partner for psychological violence and privacy intrusions.

A second body, an unidentified man with a gunshot wound, was found approximately one kilometer away near local sports fields about an hour after the initial incident. Police are working to determine if there is a connection between the two deaths.
