Pyrenees mountain rescue teams perform 24 operations in one week

Civil Guard rescue groups, including GREIM and aerial units, performed 24 mountain-related rescues in the Pyrenees between September 6 and September 12. The incidents involved various activities such as hiking, climbing, paragliding, and mountain biking.

On September 12 alone, five interventions were recorded. These included the evacuation of a 25-year-old man following a fall near Collado de la Cascada in Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, and a 70-year-old man who suffered fractures during a high-mountain sporting event at Pico Collarada in Villanúa. Other rescues were prompted by exhaustion, physical ailments, or lost individuals.
