Pyrgos street redevelopment project joins Green Fund program

The redevelopment of Riga Feraiou street in Pyrgos has been included in the Green Fund’s ‘Environmental Balance Actions’ Financial Program for 2026. The project has a total budget of 951,000 euros, with the Green Fund providing 448,160 euros and the Municipality of Pyrgos covering the remaining costs.

The project covers the section between Phokionou and Karaiskaki streets. Key objectives include restoring road functionality, improving pedestrian accessibility, and enhancing traffic flow. Planned improvements include asphalt reconstruction, new sidewalks, accessibility ramps, disabled parking spaces, LED lighting, tree planting, and new stormwater drainage networks.
