PZPN faces leadership crisis following Adrian Siemieniec referee scandal

The Polish football community is reacting to a controversy involving coach Adrian Siemieniec, who admitted to attempting to influence a referee during the previous season. Siemieniec has issued a public apology for his actions.

Reports indicate that the scandal has caused significant internal friction within the Polish Football Association (PZPN). Marcin Szulc, head of the PZPN Referees College, is reportedly facing potential removal after allegedly concealing the details of the incident from PZPN President Cezary Kulesza until July. Kulesza has reportedly lost confidence in Szulc, and a search for a successor is currently underway.

In response to the backlash, Motor Lublin coach Mariusz Misiura has publicly appealed for an end to the criticism of Siemieniec, suggesting that the coach's contributions to Polish football should be considered despite the error.
