Q2 Metals appoints Dr. Geneviève Morinville as VP of Sustainability

Q2 Metals has appointed Dr. Geneviève Morinville as Vice President of Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs. With over 20 years of experience in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters within the Canadian mining sector, Morinville will lead the company’s sustainability initiatives and regulatory programs.

Her role is central to the advancement of the Cisco Lithium Project in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec. She will oversee environmental and social baseline programs, impact assessment processes, and the implementation of a comprehensive sustainability strategy as the project moves from exploration through preliminary economic assessment (PEA) studies and into engineering and development phases.

Additionally, the company reported that 5,113,557 warrants from an August 2024 financing were exercised at C$0.50, generating C$2,556,778 in proceeds. The Cisco Deposit currently hosts a combined inferred resource of 295 million tonnes at 1.36% lithium oxide (Li2O).
