Qalyubia Governor advances development and sanitation initiatives
Hossam Abdel Fattah, the Governor of Qalyubia, is spearheading several initiatives aimed at regional development and environmental improvement. He recently met with a delegation from the Egypt Future Sustainable Development Agency to discuss expanding service and developmental projects across the governorate's cities and centers. The discussions focused on maximizing the efficiency of existing projects and ensuring new developments address the specific needs of local citizens while maintaining a cohesive visual identity for the region.
In a separate effort to improve public hygiene, the Governor has ordered intensified waste collection and removal operations in rural areas. This includes clearing illegal dumpsites and removing debris from canal cleaning activities. Under the ‘Clean Village’ initiative, local authorities are working to transform cleared waste sites into beautified areas through afforestation and landscaping to prevent the recurrence of waste accumulation and enhance the governorate's overall appearance.
