Qalyubia Governor Hossam Abdel Fattah Accelerates Digital Transformation

Governor Dr. Engineer Hossam Abdel Fattah of Egypt’s Qalyubia Governorate convened a comprehensive meeting to assess the execution of the region’s digital‑transformation programmes. He stressed that digital transformation is no longer optional but a core pillar for sustainable development, administrative efficiency and improved decision‑making. The governor called for the swift completion of mechanisation projects, notably the automation of waste‑collection processes and the deployment of GPS tracking for sanitation vehicles, as well as the rapid rollout of interactive e‑services for citizens.

During the session the governor reviewed performance indicators for several electronic systems, including technology centres, advertising, spatial‑variables and reconciliation platforms. He urged continuous monitoring of implementation rates, removal of obstacles, and adherence to set timelines, highlighting the need for an integrated digital database and seamless electronic linkage among agencies. Attendees included Deputy Governor Iman Rayan, Engineering Director Hassna Said, Digital‑Transformation Director Reda, and officials from the spatial‑variables system.

The meeting’s outcomes were also summarised in a weekly report, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to modernising public services through technology.
