Qalyubia Governor initiates infrastructure and sanitation improvements
Hossam Abdel Fattah, the Governor of Qalyubia, has initiated several measures to improve urban infrastructure and public services within the governorate.
In Banha, the Governor inspected the ‘Akher Al-Villas’ area near the Armed Forces Jewel Club to address traffic congestion. He directed the formation of a technical committee to study road levels and develop a comprehensive plan for paving and development. The initiative aims to organize parking and create new road links, including potential connections between Kafr Saad, the agricultural road, and the Nile Corniche, to ensure smoother traffic flow.
Additionally, the Governor met with the leadership of Nahdet Misr Environmental Services to overhaul the waste management system in Shubra El Kheima and El Khusus. The new strategy focuses on proactive monitoring rather than reactive complaint handling. Key directives include assigning specific contractors to designated geographic zones, increasing the number of collection vehicles, and ensuring regular household waste collection to prevent accumulation in high-density areas and major thoroughfares.
