Qalyubia Governorate conducts urban clearing and water conservation initiatives
Authorities in Egypt's Qalyubia Governorate have launched several initiatives aimed at urban management and resource conservation. Under the direction of Governor Hossam Abdel Fattah, Deputy Governor Iman Rayan led a large-scale campaign in the East Shubra El Kheima district to remove street encroachments and obstructions. The operation targeted several key areas, including 23 July Street and Bahtim Square, resulting in the removal of illegal structures and the seizure of unauthorized vehicles and carts to improve traffic flow and public appearance.
Simultaneously, the Khusus Social Administration organized an awareness seminar focused on water conservation. Led by Howida Mohamed, the seminar promoted the use of water-saving fixtures and encouraged sustainable consumption habits among citizens. This initiative is part of a national movement to preserve water resources and ensure long-term sustainability through community engagement and the establishment of monitoring committees within the Social Solidarity Directorate.
