Qantas opens Product Innovation Center in Adelaide
Qantas has opened a new Product Innovation Center in the Adelaide central business district, South Australia. The facility is designed to house the airline’s technology product development teams, including software engineers, data and AI specialists, product managers, and digital experience designers.
The airline aims to expand the center to more than 400 digital and technology positions over the next three years. Currently, the first 50 employees have begun working at the site, with recruitment underway for an additional 40 roles. The initiative is supported by the South Australian government.
As part of its technological strategy, Qantas is utilizing in-house AI to analyze customer feedback and prototype new digital experiences. Additionally, the airline has established a partnership with Adelaide University to create graduate recruitment pathways, with the first intake of graduates expected to commence in February 2027.
