Qantas partners with Philippine Airlines to add 15 island destinations for frequent flyers
Qantas and Philippine Airlines announced a partnership on May 28 2026 that lets Qantas Frequent Flyers redeem points for Classic Reward seats on the Philippine carrier’s entire network. The deal opens 15 new Philippine island destinations, including Boracay, Cebu and the UNESCO‑listed lagoons of El Nido in Palawan, and also covers routes to North America and the Middle East via Manila.
Andrew Glance, CEO of Qantas Loyalty, said the collaboration responds to growing demand for island‑hopping travel. Philippine Airlines operates 22 weekly flights between Australia and Manila, with daily services from Sydney and Brisbane using Airbus A330 and A321neoLR aircraft. Seats are available across Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Philippine Airlines President Richard Nuttall noted the partnership strengthens ties with Australia.
Qantas highlighted that its total reward‑seat inventory now exceeds 20 million across its own network, Jetstar and 30 partner airlines, and that Classic Reward seat bookings have doubled in the past five years. A new booking tool on qantas.com, launched in March 2026, allows members to search availability by destination and cabin for up to 12 months.
