Qantas to double Brisbane-Palau flights from December 2026

Qantas has announced it will double its direct flight frequency between Brisbane and Koror, Palau, starting in December 2026. Following an agreement with the Australian Federal Government to continue the ‘Palau Paradise Express’ service, the airline will increase operations to two weekly return flights during the peak season through March 2027.

The expansion is a response to surging demand, with passenger traffic from Australia and Oceania to Palau reaching four times pre-COVID levels. Since the weekly service launched in December 2024, it has carried over 15,400 passengers. The increased frequency will allow travelers to opt for four-day trips, with flights departing Brisbane on Wednesdays and Saturdays and returning from Koror on Thursdays and Sundays.

The approximately six-hour service will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft and will connect with the broader Qantas domestic network.
