Qasim Sabi charged with sexual assault of two children in Windsor
Qasim Sabi, 22, has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and failure to comply with a release order following an incident in Windsor, Ontario.
On August 13, police responded to a disturbance in the Bloomfield Road and Chippawa Street area. Authorities allege that Sabi approached two boys, aged 8 and 10, while they were playing. The 10-year-old boy reportedly avoided an attempted kiss, while the 8-year-old boy was allegedly kissed on the cheek twice. The children fled to their parents, who confronted the suspect before he entered a nearby residence.
Officers located Sabi in an alley near Peter Street approximately 30 minutes later. Following a brief struggle, he was apprehended with the assistance of a K-9 officer. At the time of the incident, Sabi was under a release order from a May 2025 case involving similar charges, which required him to remain at his residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
