Qatar expands air and sea freight options for the UK and Pakistan
Qatar offers both air and sea freight services to the United Kingdom and Pakistan through its main logistics hubs, Hamad International Airport and Hamad Port. Air freight via Doha’s airport can deliver shipments in three to seven days, making it suitable for time‑sensitive, high‑value or perishable goods, though at a higher cost. Sea freight from Hamad Port takes four to six weeks but provides a lower‑cost solution for bulk, low‑value cargo.
For the UK market, businesses and individuals can choose air freight for urgent deliveries such as medical supplies, electronics or documents, while most heavy or volume shipments remain more economical by sea. The Qatar‑to‑Pakistan corridor is heavily utilized, with a three‑hour flight to Karachi handling pharmaceuticals, fresh produce, spare parts and other goods that cannot afford long sea journeys. The route also supports the large Pakistani expatriate community in Doha, adding to the demand for fast, reliable air cargo services.
