Qatar Airways Cargo to launch new freighter service to Helsinki

Qatar Airways Cargo has announced the launch of its first scheduled freighter service to Helsinki, Finland, starting September 2, 2026. The weekly service will utilize a Boeing 777 freighter on a route connecting Doha, Budapest, and Helsinki.

This new freighter service will add 100 tonnes of export cargo capacity per week from Helsinki. When combined with the airline’s existing passenger services on the Doha-Helsinki route, which provide over 70 tonnes of weekly belly-hold capacity, the total weekly cargo capacity for the route will exceed 170 tonnes.

The expansion aims to connect Finnish and Nordic businesses to global supply chains through the Doha hub. Key exports expected to utilize the service include high-tech products, electronics, industrial machinery, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce shipments. To further extend its reach, the airline will also offer trucking solutions via Road Feeder Service partners across Scandinavia and the Baltic region.
