Qatar Airways named best business class airline for Australians

Qatar Airways has been named the top business class airline for Australian travellers in the Flat Beds Best Business Class Awards 2026. The rankings are unique in that they are based specifically on Australian booking data rather than global surveys, evaluating airlines on seat product, value, service, consistency, and frequent flyer benefits.

Qatar Airways secured the first position due to the performance of its Qsuite, a private business class suite featuring a closing door. The airline also received awards for Best Business Class Meals and Best Airport Experience.

Turkish Airlines placed second, noted for its competitive pricing to Europe, though it lost points for operating older Boeing 777 aircraft on certain Asian routes. Finnair ranked third, earning high marks for its AirLounge seat and lounge amenities. Other notable mentions in the top 10 include Etihad, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, and Emirates. Oman Air was recognized for providing the best value to Europe, while United was named the best value provider to North America.
