Qatar and Oman open Hajj 1448 AH electronic registration

Qatar and Oman have announced the commencement of electronic registration for the 1448 AH Hajj season.

In Qatar, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs stated that registration via the official Hajj portal will run until October 20. Qatari citizens aged 18 and older may apply and include up to three companions. For residents and GCC citizens, applicants must be at least 45 years old, have resided in Qatar for at least 15 years, and must not have performed Hajj previously. A health fitness certificate is mandatory, and a down payment of 10,000 Qatari Riyals is required to secure applications.

In Oman, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs opened registration for citizens and residents through its electronic system from September 28 to October 11. The ministry emphasized that Hajj companies are prohibited from intervening in the registration process to ensure transparency. Applicants must select a company through the official system, which constitutes a binding contract. Notification periods for eligible applicants are scheduled between October and November.
