Qatar announces Years of Culture partner countries through 2030

The Years of Culture initiative has announced its upcoming partner countries through 2030. Following the previously scheduled partnerships with Egypt and Greece for 2027, the initiative will collaborate with Italy in 2028, the Netherlands and Switzerland in 2029, and Portugal and Spain in 2030.

Chairperson Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani stated that the initiative aims to expand global friendships through meaningful cultural exchange while supporting Qatar’s creative industries and socio-economic development. The program, launched in 2012, facilitates dialogue through art, heritage, food, music, sport, and education.

The upcoming schedule follows a dual-partner model, which included Argentina and Chile for 2025, and Canada and Mexico for 2026. The 2027 partnership with Egypt and Greece will begin with Qatar serving as the Guest of Honour at the Cairo International Book Fair in January.
