Qatar denies allegations of funding Hamas in Gaza

Qatar has issued a categorical rejection of reports in Israeli media alleging that the country has provided funds to Hamas. The Qatar International Media Office stated that such claims are entirely baseless and represent attempts to distort Qatar's role in providing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

According to the official statement, Qatari aid—which includes food, medicine, fuel, and electricity—is specifically targeted toward the most vulnerable families in Gaza. The office emphasized that all financial and material aid has been distributed through transparent mechanisms in full coordination with the United Nations and Israeli authorities.

Qatar clarified that all aid previously passed through Israel before entering Gaza and was conducted with the knowledge and approval of successive Israeli governments and security agencies. The statement further noted that any funds reaching Hamas outside of these established, documented mechanisms have no connection to Qatar or its humanitarian efforts.
