Qatar launches first leisure charter flight from Armenia

Qatar has launched its first leisure charter flight from Yerevan, Armenia, arriving at Hamad International Airport. The service is operated by FlyOne in partnership with Rustar Tour Operator, utilizing a weekly Airbus A320 flight to connect Yerevan and Doha.

The charter program is scheduled to run until May 15, 2027, and is projected to bring approximately 6,500 Armenian visitors to Qatar during the contract period. This marks the first leisure charter arrival in Qatar following recent regional operational disruptions, signaling a return to normal aviation operations.

The initiative aims to diversify Qatar’s source markets for inbound tourism and strengthen tourism ties between the two nations, potentially paving the way for future scheduled air connectivity.
