Qatar PM condemns Israel's Gaza military campaign and ceasefire breaches

Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has condemned Israel’s military campaign in the Gaza Strip, labeling those responsible for the devastation as ‘war criminals.’ In an interview with Piers Morgan, the Qatari leader stated that while the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack on Israel was a massacre that must be condemned, the subsequent Israeli military response is unjustified due to the targeting of schools and hospitals.

Sheikh Mohammed highlighted significant breaches of the October 2025 ceasefire agreement, noting that more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed since its implementation. He reported that nearly 70 percent of the Gaza Strip is currently occupied by Israeli forces, hindering humanitarian access and violating the terms of the truce.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister denounced an unprecedented Israeli strike in Doha, Qatar, which targeted senior Hamas officials during negotiations. He described this attack as an unacceptable violation of Qatari sovereignty that occurred while the nation was actively mediating peace efforts.
