Qatar says US‑Iran nuclear talks are in very advanced stage

Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson Majed al‑Ansari announced that negotiations between the United States and Iran have reached a "very advanced" phase, with drafts of a possible agreement circulating among the parties. Doha said regional mediators, including Oman and Pakistan, are helping to shuttle proposals, aiming to prevent further escalation, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restore direct diplomatic dialogue.

Qatar noted that Oman is playing an increasingly prominent role and that Iran continues talks with Oman on safe navigation through the Hormuz Strait. No direct US‑Iran meeting is planned yet, but the exchange of draft texts continues under coordinated regional efforts.
