QBE Insurance appoints Jonathan Groves as Australia Pacific CEO

QBE Insurance has announced the appointment of Jonathan Groves as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Australia Pacific region. Groves will succeed Sue Houghton, with the appointment effective from November 1.

Groves, who currently serves as CEO and Managing Director of QBE Pacific, brings over 30 years of experience in underwriting, broking, risk, regulation, and business leadership, including 13 years within QBE. Group CEO Andrew Horton stated that Groves is well-positioned to build on the company’s existing foundations and maintain a focus on sustainable growth and long-term value. The appointment remains subject to relevant regulatory approvals.
