Qiagen shares rise on takeover rumors
Shares of the molecular diagnostics company Qiagen rose significantly following reports of potential takeover interest. According to a report by Manager Magazin, several prominent private equity firms are interested in acquiring the company.
Potential bidders reportedly include US-based investment firms TPG and Bain Capital, as well as KKR, EQT, and Advent. The stock saw gains of approximately 3.8 to 4 percent, approaching levels seen in August.
Market interest has been further bolstered by the recent appointment of Jonathan Pratt as CEO in early September. Investors are looking to Pratt to drive a successful sale process, noting his previous success in increasing the sale price of the Filtration Group.
