Qmed Asia and Intel Launch Unified Patient Monitoring Platform in Malaysia

Qmed Asia announced a strategic collaboration with Intel to develop a unified patient monitoring solution for hospitals. Intel is providing its Patient Monitoring Hub Reference Implementation, optimized for Intel Core Ultra platforms, to serve as the reference architecture for the system.

The solution aggregates data from bedside medical devices into a vendor‑neutral Smart Ward dashboard that displays continuous monitoring and Early Warning Score alerts. Qmed Asia says the platform will streamline clinical workflows, improve visibility of patient information and support the region’s shift toward data‑driven healthcare, easing the burden on staff and enhancing patient outcomes across Malaysia and neighboring markets.
