QNX and dSPACE Demonstrate Cloud‑Based Cockpit Development at AWS Summit Japan
At the AWS Summit Japan 2026 held in Makuhari Messe, the Engineering and Development Hub (EDH) booth showcased a cloud‑based automotive cockpit development platform. The demonstration combined BlackBerry's QNX real‑time operating system with dSPACE's VEOS simulation tools, running on AWS Graviton (Arm‑based EC2) instances. The same cockpit software was executed simultaneously in the cloud and on a Qualcomm SoC board, illustrating seamless binary compatibility across virtual and physical environments. The setup highlighted how signal services and connectors bridge cloud simulations with vehicle‑side hardware, enabling developers to test and validate cockpit software without physical prototypes. No additional managed AWS services were used beyond the EC2 infrastructure.
