Qonto opens new Paris headquarters amid strategic shift

Fintech company Qonto has inaugurated its new European headquarters, ‘Qonto Bonne Nouvelle’, in an 11,000 square meter facility in the heart of Paris. The new office, located in a repurposed historic building, features 900 workstations across nine floors and includes various meeting rooms, phone booths, and event spaces.

Alongside the expansion, Qonto is shifting its strategic focus. The company, which serves 750,000 clients across eight European markets, is moving away from a pursuit of absolute hypergrowth to prioritize profitability and the expansion of services for its existing client base. Philippine Rougevin-Baville, Qonto’s General Manager for Western Europe, stated that the company is no longer chasing hypergrowth as its primary objective.

Qonto aims to target larger enterprises and increase product penetration among its current customers. Despite the change in growth strategy, the company remains profitable and has indicated there are no immediate plans for new fundraising rounds or an initial public offering.
