eBay Japan G.K., the operator of the shopping mall Qoo10, has released its sales rankings for the “Cameras and Optical Equipment” category for July 2026. The data reveals a significant trend toward “retro digital cameras” and “toy digital cameras,” driven largely by Gen Z consumers seeking a vintage aesthetic.

As smartphone photography becomes increasingly high-definition and AI-enhanced, many users are gravitating toward the “imperfect charm” of older styles, such as lower pixel counts and unique color profiles. The LUODIN retro digital camera took the top spot in the rankings.

Other notable items in the top five include Fujifilm Instax Mini film and Fujifilm’s “Utsurundesu” disposable film cameras, highlighting a broader consumer interest in both digital and analog retro photography styles.
